ServSafe® Managers
Stand out among a crowd. The National Restaurant Association’s ServSafe® Food Protection Manager
Certification is nationally recognized. Earning your certification tells the industry that you know food
safety and the critical importance of its role – and enables you to share food safety knowledge with every
other employee.
Hawaii requires the Person-in-Charge (PIC) to demonstrate Food Safety knowledge in order to comply HAR chapter 11-50, and the ServSafe courses are based on the 2017 Food Code. The ServSafe Food Protection
Manager Certification meets and exceeds the Hawaii requirement. However,even if you move out of Hawaii. your ServSafe certificate will be valid in any other state.
There are two training and exam formats: classroom and online. The classroom course is given in
English, but course books and the exam are available in Spanish, Chinese and Korean. Online
course and exams are available. The Online course and exam are available in English and Spanish.

This full-day class covers critical principles
including:
- personal hygiene,
- cross contamination,
- time and temperature,
- receiving and storage,
- food safety management systems, training hourly employees,
- and more.
